PASTEL takes up the entire 22nd floor of the Aira Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11. The room is long and theatrical: hand-painted ceilings, arched windows, burnt orange velvet seating, rattan chairs, and a lit bar running down the center. The terrace wraps the building with open-air views across the Sukhumvit skyline. It starts as a lounge and restaurant at sundown, with Mediterranean plates and cocktails, then shifts gear around 21:30 when the DJs, dancers, and performers take over. Two distinct moods in one night, same space.
The indoor lounge is where the design lands hardest. The ceiling is hand-illustrated in a style that recalls European grand cafes, and the furniture mixes velvet booths with rattan in a way that somehow holds together. The bar is backlit and central, and the service team keeps things moving even when the room fills up.
The outdoor terrace is where most people end up after dark. It wraps three sides of the building and catches whatever breeze Sukhumvit offers at that height. Sunset is the obvious moment, but the terrace also works well later when the inside gets loud and you want to step out.
The food is Mediterranean and runs bigger than most rooftop menus. Lobster pasta, wagyu ribeye, sharing plates. The kitchen stays open late. The party programming varies by night, with themed events and guest DJs rotating through.
