Abandoned Mansion sits two floors underground beneath The Coach Hotel on Sukhumvit 14, and the moment you step off the elevator the century changes. The room is built around a Prohibition-era fantasy: crystal chandeliers, dark leather, oil paintings, cigar smoke, and a live jazz band playing to a packed house. The cocktail program leans into the theme with drinks named after gangsters and served in period glassware. It takes itself just seriously enough to work. The crowd is a mix of hotel guests who stumbled on it and regulars who come for the band.
The main room is double-height with the bar running along one side and the stage at the far end. Tables fill the floor between, and when the band kicks in around 20:00 the room fills fast. The sound is raw and warm, no big PA, just the room doing its job. The chandeliers throw soft light across everything and the whole space feels like a film set.
The cocktails are well-made and lean classic: old fashioneds, martinis, whisky sours, plus a few house originals tied to the gangster theme. There is a cigar lounge attached for anyone who wants to lean further into the era. The bar food is decent but secondary to the drinks.
Sukhumvit 14 is a quick walk from Asok BTS, and the Coach Hotel entrance is easy to find. The bar itself is on B2, which adds to the feeling of descending into something separate from the street above. It works for a group, a date, or a solo night at the bar watching the band.
