Behind the Door

Crimson Room

A 1920s-inspired jazz and cocktail lounge tucked inside Velaa Sindhorn Village on Langsuan, with tiered red velvet seating, nightly live performances, and a cocktail program built around theatrical flair.

Walk past the unmarked entrance at Velaa Sindhorn Village and you step straight into a different decade. Crimson Room is all dark timber, brass fittings, green marble, and deep red velvet booths arranged amphitheatre-style around a small Art Deco stage. The room seats only 55, so every angle catches the live jazz sets that run nightly. Cocktails come organized like a show program, moving from aperitif-leaning openers to spirit-forward closers, with head bartender Chacha Singsuwan steering the drinks list toward local ingredients like bee pollen and chrysanthemum. By 10 PM, the jazz winds down, the DJ slides in, and the energy shifts without the room ever losing its composure.

Insider Tip

Book a booth in advance if you are coming on a Friday or Saturday; walk-ins get bar counter seats, which are tight. Arrive by 7 PM to settle in before the first set starts at 8, and order from the Dim The Light section of the menu for the best aperitif-style cocktails before dinner elsewhere on Langsuan.
